If Herman indeed told LSU Texas was going to be picture, then Herman was going to end up at UT at the end of the day. So good for LSU for not allowing them to get played by another coach/agent.

I think this is a bad hire.
However, if you keep Aranda and hire a top level OC you can definitely win with that combo if he lets them run their areas and focuses on recruiting.

If its not Herman then we don't want a coach who is not up to the challenge of coaching in the SEC which would be Herman.

Well, it was confirmed they were meeting with Herman this morning. I can't see a meeting where LSU says "give us an answer NOW, so we can announce by noon."
This tells me a deal has either already been done with Herman and this is the signing and handshakes or no meeting is taking place.... this O gets it by default.
I lean toward the latter..... when has LSU ever got who they wanted?
