If Stoops is worried about a heart attack coaching at OU, he's going to have an aneurysm at Auburn...

Respect.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loathe Auburn. They're locked into a pricey contract with Gus, and yet they're not settling. They're considering all their options and are trying to court big names to assess the viability of a coaching change. All in an effort to be elite.

Contrast this to LSU. Hired the defensive line coach. Who then hired a tight ends coach to coach the offense. Extension coming for going 9-3. No one in the administration seems to genuinely care about LSU football. The fire is gone. The passion isn't there. The desire to be elite has vanished.

It feels like everyone at LSU is just going through the motions, while administrations at other schools are fighting every waking second to try and actually become better.

I'd take Gus as an offensive coordinator, would you?

A division with Saban, Fisher, and Stoops would be tough

Stoops is a good coach, but I would question his motivation at this point in his life.

Stoops at Auburn means LSU faces 3 likely losses a year to Alabama, Auburn and A&M.

Stoops fielded some shitty Oklahoma teams at the end of his run. What makes you think he's going to do any better at Auburn if he lands there?

No way Stoops takes that job. He isn’t getting back into coaching at Auburn. His dad died at 54. He has said he wants to retire early to enjoy life. Not saying he won’t get back in but not at the pressure cooker that is Auburn.

Frankly, suicide watch

Saban, Fisher, Stoops, LSU is grasping to edge out MSU /OLE miss and R Kansas for 4th place every year...

Saban just needs to get his arse out of CFB...I want an investigation

no one is that good

Sec west is already too damn competitive. This would be insane. In a weird kind of way it could weaken the hegemony of alabama and ultimately indirectly help
Lsu.... but that is a stretch

This overhyping of A8M because of one game is ridiculous.

Dumbass move.

Give Gus another extension, then fire him next year.

auburn is probably the toughest job in the Sec considering the location and the expectations

Auburn’s within 200 mile radius of some of the best high school talent in America... Georgia, north FL, Alabama... Location is great.
