Bruce Feldman
@BruceFeldmanCFB
SOURCE: Phil Longo is leaving UNC to go to Wisconsin to become the Badgers OC. He had a prolific offense in Chapel Hill and helped develop Drake Maye into a star this year. He's had a strong relationship with Luke Fickell for awhile and he interviewed for the Cincy OC before.

Let's see how strong UW NIL program is. Maye would look good in red.

Wisconsin with a wide open spread fast paced offense might be fun to watch.

Definitely means Mays is going to hit the portal

Good luck with Longo. He’s going to piss you off in the red zone but boat race between the 20s

Maye is from North Carolina, why would he leave with only 1 year left before he’s a top 5 pick?

His dad played there, his brother played basketball there, his other brother (and his roommate) is currently on the basketball team.

I would never say never, but I would be shocked if he left.

Poor Wisconsin. Y’all will put up massive yard numbers then have like 40% redzone efficiency

I knew fickell would build a great staff at wisconsin.

He is a great coach. Can't believe some of these other teams didnt scoop him up when they had the chance.

Wisky running the spread is going to be hard to get used to

Someone on 247 looked up the numbers.

UW scored 33 times in the red zone this year.

UNC? 52 times.

I'll take that.

UW scored 33 times, redzone efficiency 0.846
UNC scored 52 times, redzone efficiency 0.788

Yeah, I'm fine with the lower efficiency too

Rumor around town is Maye is about to get a nice 7 figure deal inked in Chapel Hill for NIL.

That sucks, I thought he was going to aTm. I was really looking forward to that.

How do Badgers fans feel about the Alvarez “system” being ended? It didn’t work out well at all for Nebraska to diverge from what worked for decades so it’ll be interesting to see how it plays out for Wisconsin.

Go look at the numbers against better defenses.

This offense destroys bad defenses but is shut down by good ones fairly easily.

GT, NC ST and Clemson held them to 6 td in 12 quarters of play.

I would think it would be easier to go from what Wisconsin does to a more spread offense than Nebraska going from the option to the west coast style. Especially with the portal now they are in a position to get skill players quicker to ease the transition.

It isn't really spread, it is Air Raid with draw plays.

Our last trip to the red zone started as 1st and goal from the 5 and ended with an overthrow on 4th and goal from the 30.

I’ll take a chance on Longo
