Longhorns aren't as great as they think they are

UT fans are already patting themselves on the back telling themselves Herman is in the bag. We've seen this shite before they thought they could land whoever they wanted a few years ago and looked how that turned out.

Texas is Alabama on steroids with respect to involved boosters that think they are a coach. No way a young coach could go to Texas and run the program. It would take a Saban or Meyer to go into that program and actually run football operations and that isn't going to happen. They are ten times as bad as we were with Shula and the others before Saban.

They swung for the fences with Saban and couldn't pull him away. They ended up with one of the hottest coaching prospects on the market. At the time everyone thought they had done great.

Well I wouldn't go that far, and I understand the venom toward Texas, so I'll leave it alone.
But I will say that I, and a lot of Texas alums, were very excited that we hired a no-nonsense Xs and Os football coach, in the mold of what Oklahoma did with Bob Stoops, and a breath of fresh air from the Mack Brown PR schtick (no knock on Mack). I really wanted it to work.

Truth. They should really go for an NFL or established coach that wont be bullied by the boosters.
