Hanny and Ott have become the best show on that station since the Miles firing/O hiring. That Skip Bertman show was an absolute gem

The guys at 247 are strangely all on board with Ed O.

Shea Dixon is lobbying pretty hard for Orgeron. He continually refers to him as the "leading candidate" despite having zero inside information to support that statement.
That's disappointing. You're right though. It's obvious. I thought shea was better than that, but I guess not

I could be wrong, but I think this might have to do with his wife working there and maybe even career advancement of some sort for her.

Shea is good people, I think he's just making an assumption and wouldn't take it as much more than that.

Maybe it's because one of the insiders that post there is close to Orgeron. Also have to consider that move would be best in regards to recruiting for this season.

Gotcha. Bidness decision on the first part
Second part, maybe so, but what about long term?

Usually the Heisman winner is on a pretty damn good team idiot.

Guy who Just called on WWL and made the Jimbo fisher case and echoes what BilJ has laid out. T Bob couldn't disagree. In fact he says the case for the Jimbo hire trumps the O hire. But said that If O leads LSU to the sugar bowl, it would be hard to remove him. Said it would have to be a swift and quite one. Good point by T bob and I thought he would be the biggest O homer.

you would think they both have solid connects

they are the reason Les got another year, screw them

VERY sick of it, and so typical LSU... media members, and fans connected to a coach; who want to be able to brag they know the coach and have a connection. Who cares?

times Picayune writers that cover LSU are better than most of the doofuses that claim to be journalists in Baton Rouge. I still like Hanagriff, OTT and that goes back to the old 1300 days when I was a LSU student. Also, a few of the tiger rag krew but outside of that it's mostly amateur hour.

Hate that
They did it to keep Miles too
They don't care we can do better

The downvotes on your post and other pro O posts say otherwise.

I've stopped listening all together. They have lost all credibility with me.

A lot of folks have agendas and want access. In 2000, LSU went outside of their sphere of influence and comfort zone and landed the best hire in the program's history. Someone with no previous connections whatsoever to La. or LSU. It was the best fit from a purely football perspective. Unfortunately Saban was a bad fit culturally and had a personality that put off people. Going outside and thinking outside of the box can work. Hiring someone just out of familiarity and within a comfort zone may not be the best way.
Now we have a chance to get another top tier coach who is a proven NC winner. Jimbo may not be from La. but he has lived in the region before and knows our program well. Not really an outsider at all regardless if he was born in the Mountains of WVA and not the bayous of La. We now can change gears and seek a progressive minded Offensive guru who is a proven QB developer. And someone with pre-existing familiarity with the school, our history and the local flavor. Best of both worlds IMHO.

Well, ND hired Brian Kelley who was supposed to Herman (with better resume) and USC hired an interim coach (clay Helto) with no HC experience and look at the results.
Most of your previous posts have seemed to be in favor of Orgeron being hired, but now I've seen you post this twice.
Change your mind or do you think this actually supports Orgeron?

remember Culotta when I was about to graduate LSU. Didn't know jack shite about sports and it seems like that hasn't changed. I knew OTT would be a good journalist covering LSU. He was good at sports writer for the Reville and was good on KLSU.
