The biggest accomplishment Lane has is 2 CUSA titles and LSU is paying him more than Kirby Smart.

Some of the criticisms are fair from a college football standpoint. It’s not anyone’s fault from a Lane, LSU or Ole Miss standpoint. You have to make the best of it. Ole Miss has basically decided they need to move on with a final decision. I respect that position.

And he is the best coach on the market. Name a better coach? The names are not good. Drinkwitz wants to be paid like a top 5 coach and isn’t one. Sumrall wants 10 million a year and he’s never been a head coach in a power 4-5 conference. This coaching cycle is awful.

I might agree in another coaching cycle, but this one is pathetic. Sumrall has never been a head coach in a Power 5 conference and Florida is looking at paying him 10 million, lol. That’s laughable

Maybe Lane is waiting on ole miss to tell him he can or can not coach this team in sec h/ playoffs? Ole miss not willing to do that hoping LSU gives up increasing the chances that Lane will ultimately has to stay.
