Kiffin
Fickell (long shot)

It would be worth $20 million/year over 5 years to see it happen. What he did took us to the top and we staying there for over a decade under 2 morons for coaches. Let him bring in Napier or whoever he wants at $5 M/year as a head coach in waiting

I think if you’re Woodward, you meet w/ members of the BOS and some of the big money guys at TAF, and you ask them: if I can get Jimmy Sexton on the phone, what am I authorized to offer?
If you don’t (at a bare minimum) take that step, then you’re not fully exploring your potential. They may give the go-ahead to the numbers/conditions you mentioned, then it’s just a matter of making Sexton/Saban say no to that. You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.

I'm really disappointed that Coach Chris was placed in the "Really long shots" category by our fearless leader.

Agreed. Great coach. But, recommended Archer for coach, went be the AD at florida and Hired Spurrier, so ther's that. He recommended to us a chump so he could hire a champ. Btw, Spurrier had his name in the hat for the LSU job.

He has done a lot with a little...Iowa State is a tuff school to recruit for...unless you like cornfields, snow, and no life. lways been that way....so in some respects gotta give him a lot of credit but most of the hype comes from just a few wins...upsets for the most part.
Whether he has the the makings of a top 5-10 college coach at this juncture...probably not but he's very likely headed for his next spot.
