Where that may be true, you can see the disparity in talent as the game is played against the SEC teams he has faced in the playoffs.

Don’t you love it when people say “not happening” like they actually know or have any say so on who will be picked. With the amount of money I keep hearing is willing to throw out there anyone is a possibility. Despite the fact that we don’t look good, the talent is there and just needs coaching. If we actually get a real coach the rest of the SEC better beware. We will be a power to be feared even by he “great “ Alabama .

I don't disagree with you there but it's not just the playoffs where his defenses have struggled mightly. Those defenses ranked outside of the top 60 that he's had almost every year isn't just a result of the playoffs.

We agree their defenses aren't good and I certainly would want him to have a good defensive coordinator.

Yeah it makes me feel a little better that he hired Grinch because at least that shows he can change and can hire a decent defensive coach. I guess my biggest concern is that his system is the real problem with the defense and as we know from a guy like Les, if you can't change your ways when it's not working your time in BR can come to a close quickly.

Not happening. Only way he leaves over there is if he's not happy because they'll match what we offer.

Sometimes you just need a change of scenery. He has been curb stomped by other p5 teams in the playoffs and may believe he cannot get over the hump unless he moves to more fertile ground.

Riley is the #1 by far.

There’s a guy on the list that hardly anyone is talking about. College coach.

Sauces?

My guess is Campbell or Day as “on the list but not being talked about.”

I assume you mean PJ Fleck. Yes. He’s been talked about. In fact I think he had a day. Or at least half a day.

He's always going to be "The guy who took over for Bob". Why not step away from that?
Stoops averaged 2.5 losses a year at OU. Riley has had 2 a year every year, so, in the regard, Riley sets himself apart.

Now, Barry Switzer? 16 seasons, 3 national championships, and he averaged 1.9 losses a year. BARRY is who every coach stands in the shadow of. Him, and Bud Wilkinson, who also won 3 national titles.

If Riley is at OU for 15 years, he will win at least 1 national title. OU is not Nebraska moving to the Big Ten.

But he has the talent to wait, then walk in and take over Alabama with Nick Saban's blessings. Saban is going to retire within two years. Riley, with that program, would be another Saban and continue the program. He does not have the same single mindedness and constant live, eat and breath drive to do whatever it takes to get his team ready that Saban has, but, then again, who does?

Are we willing to take Riley when he won't be here four years from now? If he leaves OU, he'll leave for The Cowboys and he'll leave for Bama. The question is only, which one will it be?
