Lincoln Riley is a pipe dream. Plus he was a good coach in the second rate Big 12 conference playing second rate competition. In the SEC, however, Lincoln Riley is a middle of the road football coach.

Well you don't have to worry about that

We don’t need you and other schools could use the support
How about you move your arse to BR or is the whiteness too nice in Denham?

This is the kind of logic a modern Louisiana education produces.
I'm an LSU alum and an avid LSU fan, a season ticket holder who travels thousands of miles each year to attend games in Baton Rouge. I enjoy visiting BR for a few days at a time, but having lived there through college I wouldn't live there full time nor would I have put my kids through the public or private schools there.
You can be an LSU fan without being fond of Baton Rouge.

First off living in BR is not an issue, because most of these coaches rarely lives in BR. They come to work and then drive back to Mandeville where most of them lives. So this is not an issue, the only time they see BR is when they come to the office.

Why would Lincoln Riley want to put up with the LSU fan base?

Hometown hero, After the defense got healthy players back We destroyed Everybody down the home stretch !! And Nobody could stop Burrow & Co. We beat Every "Great" coach, including several that were really good

I’ve said it before, this may be an opportunity for him, he has gotten his arse kicked by SEC schools in the playoffs because he doesn’t have the horses and that most likely won’t change once OU gets into the SEC. He would have better facilities and players to have a legitimate chance to win championships at LSU. Hell, LSU has done it with the last 2 meatheads, there’s no reason he couldn’t do it.

Does he own a ranch ?
No. He did move into a new house recently. Modest for his salary. It does have a half court basketball court on the second floor and nice sized pool. But it’s nothing like Bob Stoops’ castle.

For National Titles.
What great football program doesn't have a ridiculous fan base?

This is spoken like a guy who never visited anywhere outside Louisiana. And this is why LA continues to have poor leaders while everything in it crumbles.

Imagine if Riley had the recruiting classes that we had the past 3 years!? Top 4 every year!
He's had top 10 classes and can't field a defense inside the top 60. I'm good.

Riley makes a ton of sense and would certainly win several championships here.
Why do you say that? They get to the playoffs almost every year and then fall apart? Why? Because their defense is garbage. You think coming to LSU is going to fix his problems on defense? He's had top 10 recruiting classes year after year and can't field a defense inside the top 60 while in the big 12.
I do not understand why everyone thinks Riley will automatically win titles when he's at LSU if he can't do it at OU. I think 2020 and 2021 have proven one thing for sure: LSU's defense doesn't just succeed because there are high level recruits playing. You need a coach that can actually coach on defense and Riley hasn't really shown me he can hire someone that can do that.

No coach is capable of winning multiple national titles at LSU.

Because they have money to do it. They're not poor.
Oklahoma for sure have money, but would they double his salary if LSU puts 12m on the table. I'm not sure. Hell, I'm not sure LSU should. It's not always about if you have the money, it's about if your willing to use it. And Woodward has all the boosters solidified behind him in a way that LSU has never seen before...even the Saban years. Also LSU has immensely better recruiting potential.

It’s not about a coordinator, did you see how outmanned OU was against LSU’s offense? There lies your answer, he doesn’t have the horses to hang against SEC talent, that’s why he gets his arse handed to him.
