Can knowledgeable Tech fans provide us info on the leading candidates for Tech’s HC. Who is Tech pursuing?

I think it’s a great opportunity for the right person

I gotta ask - what about Neal Brown (Troy) for Ga Tech? Comes from the Leach / Mumme spread tree, which is very advantageous for an academic ACC-type school, and knows the area for recruiting.

I think the Leach/spread offense would be good fit for Tech. They have a hard time lining up and defeating your Clemson’s/FSU’s. The offense has some of the same principles of the triple option but kids today want to play the spread and thus, Tech may be able to attract better recruits.

Tech is 3-1 against FSU in Johnson's tenure lol.

OK, substitute UGA for FSU and the point is the same.

Lol...I operate in facts. FSU and UGA are two different programs. So no, the point is not the same.

And yes, I forgot that we lost to FSU when we played in the ACCCG with a 6-6 record. A game we still only lost by one possession even though we were god awful that year. So 3-2 against FSU since 2008.

That Sun Bowl win over Unibomber Kiffin in 2012 was unforgettable

Jeff Monken at Army and the coach at Navy - long name I cannot attempt to spell

Monken would have the best momentum and has been HC at Georgia Southern

He would be a really good fit there. He get the most out of his players year in and year out.

Brian Bohannon, Kennesaw State's head coach is a former assistant under Paul Johnson at GA Tech. I have to think he gets a call if not the job.

Would take Monken or Coach Ken N. from Navy in a heartbeat.

Neal Brown wants complete autonomy over the football program which is why he's had a tougher time getting out of Troy.

This is a terrible idea. I don’t think he would be a good fit there.
