Leach won, taking his wrongful termination case all the way to the Texas supreme court. Even though the court agreed Leach was denied his rights both as a state employee and under the terms of their employee contract, the state of Texas is not liable for the damages under their sovereign immunity law.
Texas A&M invoked the same precedent from Leach in denying Kevin Sumlin's buyout too.

I believe they had just scored and the assistant was telling him to go for 2. People were suggesting that Leach was having a hard time trying to do the math in his head or was just clueless. In reality, he's probably being talked to in his headset and was trying to listen to 2 people at once.
