Why did Jerry Jones want Jimmy Johnson out?

You conveniently left out Leach crushing Miles on three separate occasions. OSU's 21-24 record and TT's 26-20 record is a total difference of 4.5 games over 4 years. That's 1 win per season in favor of TT. Let's not pretend Leach took over a powerhouse.

Well, you had already brought up the head to head record, so anyone reading the thread would already have that info. also, I really don't care that much.

Secondly, I didn't pretend LEach took over a powerhouse, I showed he took over a BETTER program. It had a bad record and was on a long streak of winning seasons while OSU had only had one winning season since 1988 (which happened to be 3 years before he took over - the 8-4 season makes them appear stronger than they probably were, but I just posted the record without apologies for Miles). I just gave people more information to make their own decision. Miles' OSU team improved by more wins over his four seasons than Leach's Texas Tech team did in his four seasons.

It's close, but you could call it either way. Like I said, draw your own conclusions.

I understand. I'm not particularly interested in Leach, my response was directed towards the clown that said Miles was not only a better coach, he was significantly better than Leach.

It would have been interesting if Miles had stayed at OSU to compare the last few years of him at OSU and Leach at Tech.

Sounds like the Michgan State players when the assistant was promoted after Saban left and the Lsu players after Arnsparger left. Archer was a friend of th players.

id say leach may need a year off w/ all that money he made at tt...but we ALL make mistakes and him moving away from tt is prolly his best move also.....

id love to see him at lsu as our oc......this guy is sick with an offense....many great qb's will come over to lsu....

leach is the best oc in college football when it comes to the spread......

now you get the best players who want to play for chavis and the best players who want to play for leach on offense.......together....those guys can beat saban.....let miles control them

these internal TT EMAILS show that TT railroaded him
I think the internal emails tell the real story.

Whatever Leach did with James was at best poor judgment, but the administration took full advantage of it.

As I recall that was a self serving quote originally reported by ESPN. Hardly an unbiased source in this case.

agreed but i read more letters supporting leach from former players and coaches than there were quotes from players against leach. there are always players that don't like a coach for some reason (lack of playing time, etc.)

I totally agree with you,in that, I have read more letters and e-mails supporting Leach. I think the most disturbing thing about this mattter is the description of his being locked in a so called"closet." They showed film of the areas where he was placed and they were not "closets." Very misleading statement. One area was where the media interviews coaches and players and the other area was a treatment room showing treatment tables, equipment etc.In a medical article I read, it calls for an individual suffering from a concussion to be placed in a quiet,dim-lit area.I think we won't know the full story until it comes out in court. I'm betting Texas Tech will try to settle this before it heads to a court of law and people are put under oath.

From the items I read in the paper this morning it more like he was placed in TIME OUT like a 4 year old.

TT wanted Leach gone before the season started. When administrators want someone gone w/o it costing them anything they will find a way to make it happen.

He will be back coaching after year or more in purgatory.
