Oregon is weak this year. They aren’t a top 10 team. They beat a bad PSU in 2OT and lost to Indy bad.

I don’t really want Lanning tbh

It’s a goddamn travesty that people like you aren’t in on the coaching search. LSU would highly benefit from people with this type of expertise.

Why did all the other coaches leave Oregon? With NIL, it is different but there is still something to be said for playing at a top football school in the SEC.

He’s 42-7.

He has a winning record (by a lot) against ranked teams.

You people are fricking dumb

We are dealing with some truly stupid people. One of the best young coaches in CFB with a .857 win % :

Not good enough.

And these same people will suggest Frank Wilson or Jon Gruden

Yeah it's honestly really fricking stupid. He didn't go 12-0 every year!!! Can you believe he lost a game or two to a top ranked team and still made the playoffs yet again?! The horror!

It really makes even less sense to say with Lanning who beat #3 PSU fully healthy on the road this year and beat #2 Ohio State who won the natty last year. He literally won their 2 biggest games during the season the last 2 years.

Saban at Bama, considered the greatest run of any college coach of all time…

Won games 2% more of the time than Lanning. 2%.

Please hire Lanning. Deboer owns his arse. Beat him twice in one season with less talent. LOL

In the era of NIL, Oregon is a premier job. Now theyre in a big boy conference, but not the SEC, so have an easier road to playoffs than just about any team. Other than the travel or school ties, i dont think anybody is poaching a coach from Oregon anymore.
