I dont necessarily disagree with your points there, but I also can't say I agree

I'm sure if LSU offered, OU would either match or come real close... bias aside, LSU is a better job, but not by much...

Guess I see it as more of a toss up

Because they routinely get curb stomped by SEC teams in the playoffs, dude.

Last 6 bowl games vs. SEC schools:

2013 Sugar Bowl - Spanked Alabama
2016 Sugar Bowl - Spanked a mediocre Auburn team
2017 Rose Bowl - Lost to a very good UGA team in 2OT
2018 Orange Bowl - Got rocked by Alabama
2019 Peach Bowl - Played the best team in history
2020 Cotton Bowl - Embarrassed Florida (who was lacking some top talent)

I wouldn't say that is routinely getting curb stomped. There are only 2 curb stompings in there. And 3 wins.

Chris Petersen? Woodward got him to Washington...he retired after 2019 season. He is 147-38 overall as a head coach. Is he the white whale, or is he content in retirement?

Woodward and him must be tight if he was able to pull him from Boise State. If I’m not mistaken, plenty of schools wanted him but weren’t able to get him to leave. Scott did though.

OU will elevate the program. They may be behind Bama and UGA right away but thats it.

You talking about the same OU that almost lost to Tulane?

That OU?

Long shots are long shots. It doesn't take 62 paragraphs to say it.

Chicken, just say it. You think it's Franklin.

I think it is likely Napier...but that is purely a guess.

Even if he turns out to be a great coach, it’s a lousy hire.

Franklin homer. He's not wanted by the majority.

If he is a great coach, he will be the first one at LSU since Saban. Therefore, he would be a fantastic hire.

Statistically speaking he won't be a good coach.

With all that being said. That’s not the Woodward way. He always goes big. I expect no less here.
