FWIW sounds like he wants to keep working in some capacity. He had a sweet gig at Utah, wonder why he's jumping ship there? Maybe he just wanted to hand it over to Morgan Scalley.

He has a clause in his contract that locks him in for 5 years as a special assistant to the AD after he retires.

He doesn’t want to do that. Hence, not “retired” until that’s sorted out

Good coach and rare these days for a coach to stick with a program, and vice versa, for that long. I hope he enjoys his retirement.
