No, it just shows how terrible Alleva is as an AD.

Maybe I missed it, but I haven't seen one report that even hints that Bama was interested in extending him.
Nothing that even says any discussion took place concerning his return.
Not saying he was coming to LSU, but I don't think he is back at Bama next year under any circumstances.

I'm not so sure about that. In his presser he just said he wanted to go somewhere that uses the word "we", seems like he wasn't so happy in Gumpland.

What else would he say while still employed by Bama? "yeah my bags were packed for LSU if FAU didn't pan out." When a coach is hired he was always the first and only choice. When a coach gets an extension he was never looking anywhere else. Its all PR.

Kiffin doing his best Mr. Rogers impression for the media

He means GAs and staffers. FAU can't afford a position coach at Bama.
He will take Charlie Weiss' kid and a couple others.

A bunch of reporters already said this likely wasn't true.

You kind of have to respect it.
He played the politics like a master and is now making 3.5 million a year.
You kind of have to tip your hat here.
frick.

First - who uses "we" more than Saban? Perhaps No one alive. It's awkward he uses it so much.
Second - he also thanked Saban and said his phone wasn't ringing when he got fired at USC, said he gets his arse chewings but he's gotten used to it, and said his relationship with Saban is great despite what you read.
You can't choose to believe him on "I was going back", but not believe him in rest just bc it fits your narrative.

I believe Kiffin told O that he would come to LSU. O believed his friend. Unfortunately for O, his friend is a douchebag and always has been.

LSU looks like losers again. I am so sick of what we have become. Embarrassing.
Losing to Auburn was embarrassing. Losing to Wisconsin was embarrassing. Losing to Florida was embarrassing.
A coaching search is not something to be embarrassed about.

Maybe, but one thing I know is true is that LSU seems to always look worse as a result of big mouths and the desperate need of many to be "insiders."
Every piece of information we have received regarding Kiffin and this OC search in general has come from outside of the football offices. Things are repeated so much that it becomes fact, and then when it doesn't pan out, it's suddenly LSUs fault, based on the opinions of those who started the rumors. What a shite show.

What does it say about your boy O then since they are friends? I would say either A) birds of a feather flock together, B) O isn't too bright if he hasn't learned who his friend is at his core by now, or C) both A & B

Lol, LSU's brand has taken hit after hit due to this coaching search debacle. Alleva's inability to prevent leaks and get the guys he was after has created a horrible perception of the LSU program. Perception is reality. If you cant see that, idk what to tell you. Negativity about LSU is all over, not just on TD.

How much are y'all paying sark? Would make sense for him to be OC there if Saban screws him over

Hiring Orgeron is pretty embarrassing.

I'm so glad he didn't come here. This guy is a complete tool and it was only Saban that kept him in check.
