Who cares? Does Saban decide who UH hires? He's the guy that recommended LSU hire Houston's Nutts when he slithered off to fail at Miami.

Nick Saban asked if OC Lane Kiffin is ready to be a head coach again. "Absolutely." Saban added that Kiffin didn't get enough credit for the work he did as a head coach at Tennessee and USC. Also said that Kiffin has shown coaching maturity by adapting and changing within his offense to fit his players' talents, especially with three different starting QBs in three years at Alabama.

Not enough credit for coaching them to 7 wins, getting them on probation, and leaving for USC after one year?

Confirmed from program sources: If Lane Kiffin does not get Houston HC job, he will be the offensive coordinator at LSU next season.

Did anyone pick up on Saban pushing him to Houston? That little manipulative prick will do whatever he can to keep Kiffy away from LSU. I never thought he was coming anyway.

I would say 80% chance he is our OC. Ill need to be in a safe place if it is announced.

Or maybe he would just prefer when his assistants leave his school it is for a better job than the one they have - even if not for reasons of caring about the assistant (who he didn't want back anyway), but rather caring about his ability to tell FUTURE assistants that his OCs and DCs leave for HC jobs. That helps him lure more talented assistants and, thus, strengthens his program.

File this under the "duh" file. Anyone using their brain knows he was not looking to make a lateral move.

Do yall think Leslie Miles really wants the Houston job or is he just pretending to try to get a job to adhere to the stipulations in his contract with LSU? Doesn't Miles have to try to get another coaching job to continue to receive his buyout money from LSU?

watch our OC search and hire turn out to be a shitshow like our HC ordeal was.

I think the search already has . . .

Kiffin has no buyout to pay and could be hired at a moderate salary. Houston could structure an incentive-heavy contract that would reward Kiffin for results.
