Maybe he isn't. I think he will be successful and you don't. Neither of us will change the others mind

Well Houston Nutt took over in 2008 after O went 0-8 in the SEC in 2007 and won 9 games, including the Cotton Bowl... So it's not out of the realm of possibility

He won 9 games his second season also. When O's players started leaving so did Nutt's success. He went 1-7 and 0-8 his last two years.

No one is disputing that O can recruit. But Nutt went 5-3 with a team that O went 0-8 with. That's the entire point I'm trying to make.

Sounds like you arguing against him for some weird reason and want him to fail.

Shut the frick up dude

You're not? He is the head coach. Constantly pointing out what you perceive as his weaknesses and what you think will ultimately cause his failure is not doing the LSU football program any good what-so-ever. Are you a plant from another fanbase?

Doubting him and his qualifications =\= wanting him to fail

I sincerely hope you aren't that dense

Neither does blindly believing he is the right guy for the job. Literally nothing said on here has any impact, good or bad, on the program in any way.

Well Les is fired because we should have been in the playoffs in at least 2 or 3 of the last 4 seasons. If we are being sold consistency, then we should expect consistency. Right?

Wow, everybody else says it is because Les refused to change the offense even though he had promised he would. You're not making shite up again are you????

quote:

Can you do math? 7-5 is a generous expectation. O's 21-29 record over 5 coaching stops means for every 4 wins, he has 5 losses on average. He is, historically a sub .500 coach. I am looking at his entire career, not just limiting it to his two best jobs like you want to do.

Well since you make everything else up I'll let you have this one. I would like to point out that the transitive property does not work in football. There is no transitive property that ever existed that would compare Ole Miss a decade ago to current LSU. So your argument is about as full of shite and you and all your other made up crap.

quote:

So you think, for someone who has never been an elite coach on either side of the ball, meaning OC/DC, that he will somehow uncover some coaching ability that puts him in the Meyer, Saban, Harbaugh, group?

You are unreal with your making up shite and lies. Do you actually believe the shite you type?

I think that if Coach O makes a decent OC hire he can be a very successful coach.

quote:

Again, you're just cherry picking and making incorrect assumptions. Being a Head Coach is far different than being an "Interim Coach."

What's the differences. No pressure to win? If the MF'r wants the job there is pressure. What are the other differences you speak of or are you just making more shite up again?

You really need someone to spell out to you the differences in taking over a team mid-season and finishing the year and being made the permanent head coach? Like... seriously?

Didn't click the link did you. The only opinion in the linked post was the quoted post and the response right below it. Everything else was media, players and alum.

Exactly

Huge difference between being elected POTUS and becoming POTUS from moving up from VPOTUS

I would love to see what was in that binder

Well of course not, but history says that won't happen when he has full control over a problem. When he's making the day to day decisions, hirings, etc.

Not just history but ancient history. You do realize you aren't the only one that knows this stuff right? Well everything except the shite you continually make up and expect people to buy as fact.

You have no positivity and will be disappointed if your bullshite doesn't come true. I think it is pretty disgusting to pull against the LSU program. Unless of course, you are not an LSU fan.

Yep. Only 3 other people that coach college football in the entire world. That's it. Shame we couldn't get either of those 3 since they're literally the only other college football coaches in the world. O ain't a bad consolation after all - HE TALKS LIKE US!

I know you wanted the 6th place finishing coach in the AAC. The guy who was 4th of 6 teams in his division. I was asking the other guy.

We'll be down to hiring the nations best graduate assistants at this pace. All part of the binder plan.

Never said that, but he is the LSU HC and has been for a short period of time. I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

Yeah, you should check with Jimmy Details (James Smith) of NOLA.com before making statements like that. He deals with a lot of players and their parents and will tell you that both read and are affected/infuenced by these boards.

And people like you who do nothing but post negative shite about CEO all day will blame him when recruits decide to look elsewhere.

But, the good news is that you will have something else to bash him about.

Well, why don't you? He doesn't have to coach? He doesn't have to make the established media requirements (coaches shows, etc)? He doesn't have to make decisions about staff (Cameron, Pete Jenkins)? He doesn't have to take responsibility for how the team plays? He doesn't have to take responsibility for losses?

Yeah, explain to me these vast differences between an interim HC and a full time HC and how much easier it is for the interim.

I am relaxed. Just killing time before the Washington - Colorado game. And you need to stop drinking and quit living in a dream world. Everybody knows that all the BS lies and hypothetical shite you made up is all a bunch of crap.
