Considering everything Landry has done, if this happened, the local media would've been all over this. Haven't heard or read this anywhere.

I watched the Finebaum video he posted. Finebaum never said those words about Landry calling Kiffin. This guy is dumb or lying on purpose.

Liucci on Texags said Woodward did the same thing at A&M with Jimbo.

I don’t think SW likes the type of coaches like Will Wade or Kiffin. If the coach doesn’t look like they belong at a country club, Scott isn’t hiring

Yes, when Ed was hired it was Alleva. Ed was supposed to bring Kiffin here as OC but he took the FAU job. That's when he hired Matt Canada. When the HC position was open again, Woodward was here. Kiffin wanted the job then, but was never offered.

How else do you get a bidding war started? Of course they’re talking. Only for him to ultimately stay at Ole Miss and get a raise to 15 million/yr.

Some unhappy coaches could also take a nice offer at another school. Usually a few surprises every cycle i.e. BK in 2021

A call earlier this morning went very good supposedly

It's all "supposedly" when it comes to LSU and their search for a new HC.

It's not going to be Riley, Kiffin, Saban, Freeman, Franklin, Gundy, Napier, Orgeron, Drink, Meyer.... and likely not Brohm or anyone this place would be unanimously happy with.

Someone posted that Ole Miss gave Kiff an ultimatum to sign an extension or he would be let go. I believe it was by Sunday? Can anyone confirm please.

Man you need to take a nap. Get off the board for a while.

Coaching searches are weird… sometimes bad decisions or “misses” or backdooring/stumbling into a hire end up working out… Happens all the time in coaching searches. So even if your assumptions are accurate (that there have been some missteps by LSU and the Governor), it doesn’t mean the world is ending, and it certainly doesn’t guarantee the next coach won’t have success. LSU will have a coach in 2026. And he may do well, or he may not… no different than any new coach at any program.
