Damn, wonder if any schools in the SWAC are looking for HCs?

Can't believe he would leave the sec to take a job like that instead of just staying in the sec spotlight for 1 more year. If he goes there and flops he's done? That move don't make much sense

Why would we want him? He'll be here one year and leave us for McNeese.

Stumbling block could be that they may have to pay LK nearly 3X what they were paying their last HC.

Have people really not figured out how Sexton works at this point?

Chip Kelly is rumored to have an interest in hiring Kiffin to his offensive staff at San Francisco, which might be his best move at this point.

I'm not so sure the job itself would be a bad short-term move. The WL record there lately has been terrible. Kiffin could probably bring it way up fairly quickly and springboard to a better gig. Heck, Butch Davis just took the FIU job.

At this point, Kiffin is impulse-buy shopping at the checkout line.

Yeah. It's certainly not unreasonable to conclude that Kiffin didn't want to have to kiss the arse of a dumbass booster/trustee 24/7/365.

I think his agent is trying to make him seem relevant, but it's coming off as desperate.

This is interesting. I guess nobody knows what his ambitions are. Does he want back in the NFL or to stay in college? Either way, he'd certainly learn more under Kelly than O, while he'd have much more autonomy under O than Kelly.

At what point does Kiffin realize he's damaged goods?

Why not try to get Canada or baby Briles and lets get the offense on track. If its Lane were doing this again next year. Totally agree

I dont think he would want to burn his Saban "bridge" behind him, in order to make a lateral move in-division. It is probably not worth it to Kiffin, regardless of his friendship with Orgeron.

However, I seriously doubt Coach Saban would care as much about the move in competitive terms, as he would question the wisdom of it for the purposes of career advancement
