Pelini had a much better track record as an SEC DC than Steele. Jus sayin'.

Yeah, 15 years ago.

At least Steele can scheme against a modern offense.

I would rather have Odom or even give Raymond a shot.

Had LSU hired Steele last season they would have won 7 games. Just sayin.

Thought it would be Odom but now we are scrambling after Freeman apparently. I’ll be pretty disappointed if it’s Steele.

With these older guys, I’d offer a bigger salary but no or little buyout on the back side. Call it the Pelini clause (or was it Canada?).

Arnett, Leonard, Reeves, and Odom should all be considered before Steele. I don't think anyone is trying to argue that Steele wouldn't be an upgrade from Pelini, but we need more than just an upgrade from that dumpster fire.

The LSU coaching search method:

1. Latch on to 1 candidate

2. Don't interview anyone else

3. Don't create any backup plans

4. Hire somebody off the scrap heap

O already made on colossal mistake hiring BP. I don't think he would even consider Steele with his coaching career on the line! No way that ever happens!

I’m hoping our next DC might still be in the NFL playoffs. Maybe from the Saints.

Im hoping our next DC is not from the Saints because I can separate my love for the Saints and LSU football enough to know that there are better options.

You don't have to worry about that.

Nielsen already turned down the opportunity

People just keep repeating it
