Been begging for Grimes to be replaced with Mawae for years.
Mawae hated Miles so now is the first chance we have at it. Hope it happens!

Grimes was hired in 2014 and this is his third season. So at best you though Mawae should be hired in '14 and have wanted him to replace Grimes for two years. I guess that qualifies.

Mawae consulted for the team in '13 and wanted the job when it opened up. He had zero coaching experience at that time.

Correct. It was late 2014 when I started watching the OLine more closely and became a non-fan of Grimes. And by the offseason of 14-15 I got on the train of hoping for Mawae to be te replacement. So I guess it's been 2ish years but it feels like an eternity.

I do agree and was dubious a few years ago of Kevin's lack of formal experience. But, I think his playing background may actually be something these kids need. I also think he will get away from the current scheme......but a new OC will dictate that
