Winningest coach out there not named Saban. Yeah...hire sucks. If he can do that with Notre Dame...just imagine what he can do with these athletes down here. It's an upgrade from what we had.....

263-96-2 as a head coach (92-39 at Notre Dame). Enough said.

It’s also the biggest school that can dodge all the big names.

Even selectively picking his best years, he is 8-6 against ranked competition and .500 against ranked in the past decade.

Hardly awe inspiring feats.

That with a history of choking in the big games…..I don’t hate the hire. But there are multiple people I would have rathered.

Very similar to Jimbo. Nobody is going to particularly fear Kelly, but he's a big name and you got him from a big program and he's capable of building a championship caliber team a couple times a decade.
