Let the staff go and win that shite. Lane needs to tell them “ I got this transfer portal on lock, yall better come back with the damn ring”.

Carter is in a bind. Do you let them stay and keep showcasing the offense that will be going to LSU, or do we send them packing along with their chances at a Fiesta Bowl win.
Side note: Keith Carter has been a horrible leader for Ole Miss during all of this

He doesn’t coach a position, obviously. But thought that was interesting
He's the clock management guy

Ole Myth fans won’t acknowledge it until Golding inevitably falls on his face. That’s only a matter of time.

If I’m Lane after that BS they ran to the media about tampering I say “ok, don’t want us to “tamper”? You no longer can use our staff” and pull them all back to BR. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.

Yeah I don't see Wies leaving early, but the WR, RB, and TE coach could. As it stands we already have other coaches doing their job most of the week anyways while they work for LSU.

At this point you have to be all in who cares if they take every player

That explains why we burned so many timeouts then. What a moron

Austin Thomas is weird man. I get it's delicate and is a nice guy and all, works hard, made a lot of relationships at LSU etc. but he has some sort of complex. To be a GM with a headset on the sideline is bizarre behavior - just like his preseason press conference at LSU he was talking like he was the leader of the program. Guy clearly wants to be a head coach type but his most accessible avenue was personnel department.

He can try if he wants.
I don't think those guys would easily agree to that though. It's a battle he can't win.
I don’t think Kiffin would do that, I’m saying he could. Basically, Ole Miss has no say in the matter other than telling them to leave. They have no authority to force them to finish the season.
Their season being in LSU coach’s hands on offense is amusing though.

Well, they did accuse us of tampering, so 1) do we want to continue to expose our program to those allegations, and 2) if OM really believe tampering is happening, why would they allow those tampering to stay around there program?

They don’t have a choice if they want to continue this run.

Keith Carter needs to not have the job he has. Period.

Good. Carter threw a tantrum and now it’s time to have the coaches come back.

He was for the Tulane game too

Ole Miss can’t force them to stay. That’s true.
Kiffin attempting to force them to leave could backfire though. He’s going to sit back and let them coach.

Not you, OM.

He doesn't need to run their offense, they hired a OC already. Frank just needs to fill Kevin Smiths role as RB coach

Kewan Lacy is going to be very confused why he’s all of a sudden getting rotated out on big drives.

quote:yep. they'd still have Lane as head coach if he simply did nothing. because LSU wouldn't be waiting this late to hire a coach if Lane was still coaching. Instead, he forced him out.
