First off I read this whole thread how the frick do some of y'all not know who Justin Vincent is?
Second if the announcement is coming before Saturday than % wise it's most likely:
Campbell, stoop, BOB, Aranda, Cristobal, Fickell
I highly doubt Fickell wants an announcement before his championship with CFP on the line.
Either way it's going to be an underwhelming hire

I personally believe Wed announcement is a damage control type move. Today and tomorrow work out the media pumping up the hire.

if we use the ridiculous method LSU uses we severely handicap ourselves from the get go.
we were told most those guys on our list were/are unattainable anyway.

the rest are heavy settling and if we have to settle just grab kiffin now and roll with it. took shitty OM to 10-2 and can coach offense. we are going down a dangerous path longer we wait for "candidates" who are not seen as attainable or realistic. this admin really needs to put a gauge of what our % chance is at getting who i listed above IF we are even going after them. time is ticking.

Could it possibly be that LSU was planning to announce this hire at a later date since the coach we have hired is still coaching for something, and all the LSU fans getting stirred up over Riley to USC has caused them to move up the announcement and the meeting was to all agree and get word from the coach that it would be ok to announce the hire?

If it's not Fickle, Rhule, Urban, or Dabo, it's not going to be considered a "home run" by most people.
Potentially a good hire, but not the kind of homerun hire USC just made that everyone is expecting LSU to make.
