If you actually think USC made everything happen from start to finish and turn key with Lincoln Riley in 12 hours then you're a moron. That deal had been in the works for probably a week to 2 weeks.

If you honestly believe this was done in 12 hours you are an idiot. Riley had been targeting California and west coast recruits this year. This shite was done deliberately and was set in motion long ago. My guess would be around the time he found out Oklahoma was moving to the SEC he started job hunting.

Bottom line, if a new coach is not named in the next couple days it's either a coach playing in a championship or Woodward whiffed. He's had 6 weeks. If he didn't strike out the coach is playing in a championship game this week (or in the NFL). If any other coach who's season is over is named after the next couple days Woodward is dropping down and crossing names off the list.

Why would they put a timeline of Tuesday or Wednesday out there if there was nothing to it though. It would be unnecessary pressure

They had months to put this deal together and this is what you think the end result of that work is. If they didn’t go after Riley they went after someone bigger . I don’t see Woodward settling on anyone. He will go for the top . Look at his other hires in the past.
