Just talked to my grandma, and she thinks we’re getting Mario Cristobal. Woodward and Mario met one time 14 years ago at a private ski resort. And she think Cristobal would bring in Ed Reed as the DB coach.

I can’t imagine Woodward would be so small-minded.

Aren't you an adamant O supporter?

Because the irony of you saying someone is small minded while pushing for O is just hilarious.

great source

I’m curious why you are hanging around on this board attentively enough to respond to the OP within a minute, if it isn’t for the exact type of information that was posted.

Sale was OC/OL coach at ULL. But Napier calls the plays. I don’t know what NFL position coaches make, but I’d bet as OC/OL at LSU he could probably expect a nice raise. I wonder though if ULL would have any interest in Sale to replace Napier?

I don't doubt it and from everything I've read he seems to be a good hire but... not a big time hire at all.

Just because he doesn’t have the national name recognition (which ironically he’s getting now), doesn’t mean he’s not a big time hire. The fact that he’s a really, really good coach makes it a big time hire. The fact that he’s been the hottest name in coaching circles for almost two years and could end up at LSU makes it a big time hire.

Most of us didn’t want Nick Saban back when we hired him.

Why is this statement accepted as Rant Fact? LSU fans' expectations were so low after going through Hallman and the Dinardo Decline that we were happy going to Independence Bowls and ecstatic to go to a Peach Bowl. No one I remember was disappointed that we pulled a coach from a legitimate Big 10 football program.

Do we like Rob Sale as OC?

Napier calls the plays and runs the offense so it wouldn’t be as much of a huge deal
