He doesn't sound like a guy that's about to quit then walk out Petrino style. He sounded highly engaged.

I could be wrong but we better hope the Panthers are going to fire his butt today if we want him.

Nick Wilson on 102.5 here in Charlotte has stated nothing about Rhule leaving and he's pretty tied into the panthers org.

Well they have at least 3 more losses coming and they will be 7-10. I doubt they fire him too, but it is possible he may call it quits. I don't think he is the type to pull a Petrino but with Cam as QB, he could lose all of the remaining 5.

Splash hires are now the unemployed. Next, Coach Klein.

Carolina is not going to pay 50 million or so to buyout Rhule's contract, so no way they will fire him.

He would have to walk away for there to be any possibility if him leaving.

Carolina is 2-7 since October. Ownership is not going to be patient with Rhule, who still plays the Bills, and Tampa Twice.

Brady is 24th in points, and 31st in passing TDs. They ran off Bridgewater who is having a great year in Denver, and has won 3 of his last 4.

Ownership will be patient with him bc they know that you can’t win in the nfl without a QB. He may choose to leave but he’s not getting fired over losing with these scrubs.

The owner made him (I think) the highest paid 1st time HC in NFL history. So big of a commitment that it drew the ire of other owners because it significantly "reset the market." I doubt the Panther's owner is even considering firing Rhule after 1.5 seasons.

Rhule has NEVER seemed like a viable candidate...for many reasons.

For LSU, the choices seem to be either someone who is playing this weekend

Aranda?
Fickell?
Cristobal?

Perhaps, someone who isn't playing but still has a team in the playoff hunt

Brian Kelley?

An NFL HC's whose team probably wouldn't be all that upset to see him leave

Urban Meyer?

Or someone from a "second tier" of candidates who fans will revolt against if/when hired.

I’m not sure why a coach would leave the NFL for college and have to deal with recruiting esp with all the NIL stuff.

They wish they could fire him, money wise the pain could go on for some time. If they can find a sucker for the dead money... they win.

Yeah, they asked the staff to win with Sam frickin Darnold, and when that fell apart, predictably, they went and found a used Cam Newton at the Goodwill Store. I think ownership knows they do not have a team that any coach can win with right now, especially with CMC being so banged up and mostly unavailable this year.

Carolina is treading water until the draft/free agency. Coaches have one more year there before ownership makes them the scapegoats. Now, would Rhule choose to bail before that happens? That's the question.

Its called hype.

Brady isn't doing anything different in Carolina than any other team is doing.

McCaffery probably wants to beat Brady the frick up, basically was running him into the ground.

I said all this 2 months ago.

Everyone wants those clowns out of Carolina, its called a contract though.

Now Shula is looking like the genius OC, made Newton look decent.

Carolina beat writers saying something feels off/amiss this morning though. Could be gas.
