Please help me to understand this. Which part is the myth? E ran 2019 offense or Brady did?

I think you have to credit both E and Brady for meshing together to form college footballs greatest offense ever. Defenses couldn’t key on any one coaches tendencies. Now how does one repeat that and with whom?

Brady isn't in any conversations with that mediocre offense this year.

I think Coach O has been putting in the time lately with Brady, discussing his thoughts on LSU’s next replacement. I think O was a bit sauced in how Brady left so quick, but all under the bridge now.

The myth is that LSU’s offense was mediocre.

Considering the personnel losses and inexperience, LSU put up fantastic numbers. Over a 12 game season it would’ve likely been the second best season in LSU history.

Why does anyone think Brady would’ve done better under similar circumstances?

It’s easy to say he would, but I don’t think so. And I’m a huge Brady fan.

1. LSU history means NOTHING. We were 10 years behind the offensive boom. You’re judged by your contemporaries.

2. We were mediocre. We scored a lot of points on shirt defenses and not a lot of points on some decent ones. We faced 0 top 10 defenses this year. 0 top 15.

Because he actually had creativity, and that’s what we needed this year.

Not sure how many times it needs to be reported and repeated, but Brady has no interest in being a college HC or even OC.

Sammy, I agree. We did not see much bunch formations or passing schemes that we saw in the red zone and near the goal this year. The two passing plays off a fake run that we ran against Ga and Clemson at the goal were never ran again. Of course it would help next year if we have a legit running threat.

Is it so hard to ask any OC to run similar schemes implored by Brady? I love the receivers pretending to block and then score in the end zone or rub a defender. LSU players became a master at it
can we set you up with an interview?

To be just a mentor to advise? Someone needs to mentor O. SEC coaches could not get their players to stop being fooled by LSU’s offense. Of course it helped having both a running and passing threat in the red zone which LSU may have next year with the two highly rated backs signed.

LSU moved the ball this year, they just to had settle on far too many field goals.

People severely underestimate how freaking great Joe Burrow was. And his 3rd WR last year is an All Pro in the NFL as a rookie.

You can't duplicate that with any hire you make. Not even if you brought Joe Brady back.

I got to give Steele some credit here. While I agree with you and he wasn’t able to completely stop it, he did by far the best job with Auburn compared to other coaches last year. In my opinion he did a phenomenal job.

It’s an art, not a recipe. Brady had a great feel of when to adjust and who to get the ball to based on what he intuited the defense would do based on presnap. Plus the intangible of great energy and bringing up the level of energy for his players.
