I can’t say enough that Josh Pate is a youtube tool. Dude has no insight on anything and will forever be stuck on youtube

I’m not saying they have direct knowledge either, but they’ve said all along that it’s a total crap show behind the scenes.
Exactly what I was told by someone in the know, but not directly involved in the search. Sounds like the initial feedback that LSU is getting is negative.

I've been a member for years, but don't post much anymore. A guy I work with that personally knows 2 members on the BOS told me today that he can confirm from talking to them, that Saban and Lane were both offered and both declined. Other than that, the board members didn't offer up any more info on who they have in mind (were pretty hush about that part). This leads me to believe what Pate is saying...which sucks, but it's true.

like Pate but his show has turned into a constant Pate propaganda segment. I know this. I go to the best game every week. I have new merch. I’m loyal to my sponsor QuikTrip. I’m the future commissioner of CFB. I was at practice this summer. I have connections into that program. Several coaches texted me after their game. We get it man. You’re doing great, but let’s talk ball…
He is connected with local media and employees at many schools.

We all know Kiffin will end up at LSU. So do you.

I appreciate your info but even if they both declined.. There are 30+ coaches out there capable of doing really good at LSU.
Also I find it hard to believe they “declined” before any decision is made

I agree, there are some very intriguing names out there that LSU could potentially hit on (ex: Morris, Golesh, Sumrall, etc) and end up being a homerun hire given the right pieces around them. I was just relaying info from a very trustworthy and respectable coworker that I know wouldn't BS me. Some of these coaches mentioned will eventually be hired by some big time programs either way.

Pate just feeding an audience.

Zero chance he knows anything

Not hard to believe. Kiffin is not leaving Oxford and Sexton doesn’t want to burn bridges for other clients with LSU. Saban is just not coaching again.
One other thing, don’t be surprised if within the next few weeks Pete Golding’s name is starting to gain traction.

he's going to be Lane's replacement when Lane leaves for Gainesville.
