It was lightning in a bottle. He would not have the same success if he came back.

Oh no, I guess He would just have to make due with Boutte, Smith, Nabors and Bech and the #1 QB in the country coming in.

Even if it was “lighting in a bottle” we have a lot of lighting we need more bottles .

Edit: Thomas is also on the team.

Yes LSU is notorious for not being able to get talent at the skill positions. You are very smart indeed

The man called third downs and Burrow changed the plays a lot of the time. We can’t have an OC that hates recruiting.

He had darnold and Carolina 3-0 and looking legit until darnold got hurt in week 3 then McCaffrey got hurt after that. McCaffrey has missed something like 16 games since he’s been there. Tough when you have shite at QB

I'm sure Tom Brady has made an offensive coordinator look pretty good All his career

This is stupid to compare any coach without the right players to fit their system is going to look bad. People are so fricking ignorant.

Sean Payton's offense looks like complete garbage since brees left, does that make Sean Payton a bad coach/ offensive coordinator play caller.

We just cleaned house and moved on and now people wanna bring the past back. We already have a HC that is great at X and O’s. We need a stud recruiter not wonder boy.

To be fair, those players clearly benefited from Brady being brought in. You can’t just write off his impact on their development.

He designed the playbook and the calls Joe made at the line.

You think Joe went to the line and called plays from the entire playbook?

Payton Manning used to have 3 plays when he went to the line as an NFL QB.

A good system does that.

Not to mention Bradynis responsible for the motion that helped Joe identify defenses to make those calls.

Burrow had several future Probowl Wrs and CEH in 2018.

Something changed in 2019. I wonder what it was?

Ensminger had the same group of guys in 2018.
Look at the difference in the offense when Brady came here not to mention what he did with WRs.

Those pro bowl WRs were average at best before Brady got there. Mickey Joseph wasn't coaching them up, he was a recruiter with a position coach's honorary title.

Brady came in and brought the new drills for the WRs and unlocked their full potential. There's a ton of potential in the WR corps currently at LSU, that Brady would undoubtedly unlock as well.

CEH just broke out and became a monster, but Brady helped both Burrow and the WRs immensely.

And he had all those guys WIDE open most cases. Yes the players were amazing but the scheme, in college anyways, works.

When do we not have a roster full of future pro bowl receivers and backs? We have that right now.

And Redzone and guess what?

We were 4th in the nation in 3rd down conversion% 8th in total conversions.

And we were 2nd in Redzone Scoring %
4th in Redzone TD% and 1st in Total Redzone TDs

Maybe this can can call plays?
