Because you read it on the CCB?

This place knows nothing but speculation.

I'm fearful it's actually going to be Jimbo. Can we Tennessee/Schiano this shite?

Then LSU will continue to be mediocre.

Jimbo is a “peaked in high school” guy at best

Jimbo has an impressive resume and no one is saying he doesn't, but if you look at the last 5 years, he hasn't exactly set the world on fire. I think everyone is mostly looking at it as a stale hire because of his products lately and not his whole body of work. I don't think he's the right guy personally, but I can see why some would as well. Maybe he just doesn't fit in at ATM, which wouldn't be surprising considering some of the weird arse traditions they have over there. I think there are better choices with a lot more upside than Jimbo, but you can't say he's not the most qualified, I'll give you that.

It's going to be amazing to watch as we aren't in title contention in 3 yrs and Jimbo has a 8/10 yr contract. Woodward might want his boy but he's tying his fate to him as well.

Anyone that thinks we shouldn't be competing for a title in 3 yrs needs to definitively say how long and why.

There’s too much smoke and chatter about Jimbo imo

…it’s intentional. Just my opinion

I for the record don't think it's him. I don't believe anyone has a clue and this board is all for good fun right now

well if you look at his past 6 seasons you will see that 10 wins is his ceiling.. Les as fired b/c of the same type of run. Jimbo is a safe and lazy hire, he is on the down hill side of his career. He will have a high floor but the ceiling for the most part is not what everyone expects at LSU.

Sure, but college football has changed.

Les Miles win loss total until Kansas

114–34

Let's move forward with a new offensive scheme and not step on landmines along the way.

Also, 24 of those 35 loses are in the last 6 years... there isn't anyone would remove Jimbo's name from his HC hire and be excited about just the record.

10-4
9-4
12-2
14-0
13-1
10-3
10-3
5-6
9-4
8-5
9-1
6-2

You could argue 3 really good seasons out of 12. Looks very much like what the Mad Hatter did and everyone couldn't wait to fire him.
