I think Herman or Fisher are the top two guys. I'm just pointing out that Fisher is not all that he's cracked up to be. I still thinks he's probably the best available candidate. I'd personally like to see what someone like Chip Kelly would do with LSU's talent
JF's resume is not up for debate. His offensive style is starting to become dated though.

Let me guess , you think O will win the sec if he becomes head coach.

He won it when he had Jameis Winston.
He developed Jameis properly when Jameis got to FSU.

I don't want anyone who has ever coached for Saban or with Saban. Jimbo is a very good coach, but he's worked for Saban. That means that Saban understands Fisher. If I were LSU and I'm not going to retain Orgeron, I'm looking west for a coach. Someone who has never shaken hands with Saban.

you mean the QB that he recruited and developed?
Jimbo is the QB coach
you're not too sharp

How will he win the SEC?
Not enough money for good DC is one reason.
Florida State isn't giving him the amount of money it takes to get good to great assistants.

If you want Jimbo why did you fire Miles? Miles could occasionally win big with a super star QB too.

It's amazing the mental gymnastics people will go through just to discredit a coach they don't like,

Exactly. It's as if this board thinks Jimbo wants out at FSU because he wants to coach at a big program with a great recruiting base. He has that. It comes down to money and winning the arms race. LSU can do that wayyyyy better than FSU.

Here's the difference. Jimbo actually CREATES Superstar QB's. Thats why he's had 4 first round picks. No one in the country can say that.
That doesnt just happen by accident. Being that QB has been the missing link for 10 years now, i'd say that makes Jimbo the perfect fit at LSU.

Do the people who knock the people who knock Jimbo Fisher realize that we may not want O either?
So, Bill Belichik? What planet do you live on? Literally Herman and Jimbo are the 2 best options for HC currently. You're complaining about Jimbo's resume' when there is literally not an available coach with a better one.
Please enlighten us as to who you believe LSU should hire. My popcorn is almost done popping. Can't wait to hear this.

r are you implying he would be a total disaster at LSU unless he won it every single year?
Well to be fair, some of the Coach O criticism is because he lost 1 game..... to Bama.

0 criticism for losing to bama
there is criticism for getting shut out by bama, though.

Apparently they want the perfect head coach. Newsflash. He doesn't exist, and the closest thing to it has an office in Tuscaloosa.

again....that was the one game where O had something real on the line and it showed. Rolling as an interim with nothing to lose is one thing, being the man it all falls on is a different animal. O got schooled when he had some skins in the game, he tightened up a lot.

I'm convinced he thinks we should offer Saban 10M to come back home

O lacks the ability to innovate on offense. I want a HC with a specialty.
LSU's biggest problem for most of my adult life has been offense and particularly, QB play.
Who do these fricks wanna hire? A DL COACH.
