yea barksdale was decent against penn state but as the season on a whole...i think he struggled, JMO. Yea i dont mind the CEO approach at all but it just seemed miles wanted to blame crowton publicily and say things to the affect that miles wanted to do something and crowton called something different. Miles is the head coach...its his team and he should have final say on what is called, and going back second guessing your OC makes miles look dumb because ultimately it was miles decision to let the play be called. their should be no disconnect, miles needs to have a final say. Gary Patterson had a similar situation last year, he critisized a call by his OC then later said it was ultimately his fault as a head coach and he found someone else to be his OC.

Jimbo is putting together a good staff at Fla. St. keep your eye on them. Oh, recruiting is also going well.
When Studs was interviewed for the job, Les also talked with former LSU player Blake Miller. Blake was at Rice and now is at Utah. Hes another one to keep an eye on.

I loved jimbo. he was a great QB coach, i think he also utilized the talent we had and molded the offense to it, i think he will be a great HC. Yea miller wouldnt be bad, but miles seems to like stud and they both know more about o-line play than i do. The whole "stud doesnt work on technique" bugs me if its true. searles was a technique freak and we had some great players under him.

that would be former ECU coach Steve Logan, whose name I believe was actually kicked around when we hired Saban. he's the Bucs RB coach now, and I wouldn't mind seeing him here as OC/ QB coach. though I will say that as far as just QB development goes, Matt Ryan always gives credit to Jagz more so than anyone.
Logan was also Colorado's RB coach while Les was the OL coach back in the mid 80s. hmmmm...

Steve Logan is a great QB coach, OC...also
He led ECU to the top ten twice I believe in 10 years as HC.
Additionally, He had the best sports radio show one summer he was unemployed here in Raleigh...Dude is a personality... Has a story after story. Loves to fish, loves the blues and red wine.

Best thing about Jags is his agent. Who was his OC at Boston? That is who we should look at. His name is up for every job on all the Scoops. We need an OC that has proven himself....a winner.

Actually I think the reason was more specifically that he didn't do a good job with or didn't understand how to call and put together protections against the more complicated NFL defenses.
