This is one name I heard rumored to be on Miles short list when it appeared that Crowton was going to be let go after the Ole Miss debacle. I always thought he had pretty good offenses at BC. He didn't pan out with the Bucs, but I'm not so sure that situation wasn't set up for him to fail. Any thoughts?

Jeff Jagazinski is a good football coach. He has a lot of experience and I wouldn't mind at all if he became the Offensive Coordinator.

No more changes will be made at LSU. None. The AD and Administration has no guts. And Miles will not get rid of GC.

Besides, I don't think a new OC is gonna help. Miles offers no leadership. he is a feel good guy producing a Chinese fire drill on the field.

He recruits well, and then does little to nothing with them.

Miles does not Coach on the sidelines. He watches like the rest of us and waits for the assistant coaches to make a decision then he passes the information on to the players like a grad assistant.

I truly wish someone would do a professional management evaluation of Les Miles' methods to prepare a football team for a game.

You do know that Jeff was a GA at LSU? I like him as a coach.

Dad wasn't one of the reasons he was fired in Tampa was because they discovered the hard way he had never called plays before?

I don't think the guy even made it past the pre-season........that whole situation seemed to be pretty screwy from the getgo.

With 17 years in college and Pro's as a OC, OL and TE Coach, the guy must know something. Look at who he worked with and under.

not sure we could get him as an OC though. i guess he is unemployed and if we pay chavis 600K we could do the same with him. would always worry about him jetting for the NFL. I would prefer him maybe as a HC and yes i know we dont need one but i dont think he would do bad. His OC at BC would be a solid choice, he can coach QB's up with the best of em.

I would rather worry about that, than having to worry about Crowton making more idiotic calls.

We just had to worry about Chief leaving for UGA.

In this day and time, you can find good OC and DC, they are not that hard to find. LSU pays well, too well.

yea i like jags as a coach. he has been around enough productive offenses to say he knows about them, he is an o-line guru who learned from alex gibbs who had the broncos great lines. He won with decent teams at BC had consistency and could probably do very well down here. i think guys like kragthorpe may be more realistic but for 600K i think jags would listen but this is all dreaming as it seems we are sticking with crowton and stud.

Chick, sounds like you know your coaches. Over the years LSU has had some of the better Asst. OL Coaches, many have moved on to the Pro's. Hal Hunter, Pete Mangurian and Larry Zierlein, to name a few.
Look at the NC game coming up, a # of coaches on both teams have been at LSU, Mack Brown, Will Muschamp and Mike Tolleson for Tx.

i just dont see it. Supposedly the word was we couldnt buy out crowton, but i dont blame him totally for our problems, i think players are also not executing, if he was let go i would be ok, but he didnt turn into an idiot overnight from 2007, but that was a different group of players. stud...our line seems to have gotten worse since searles left, they arent physical and we cant run the ball. ciron was ok this year but hitt and barksdale seemed to regress. miles seems hell bent on keeping him also. somebody on here put it pretty accurate, miles is a CEO who lets his assistants do what they want (despite him throwing them under the bus ala crowton) and as long as he has good assistants he would be ok, we will get talent and pay well enough to get good assistants to develop it, but stud and crowton...eh
