Ball State connection. Hoke was coach when they had that undefeated run for a bit. Whitlock has always been a huge fan of Hoke’s since.

Because he couldn't figure out it was dumb to field a punt in a hurricane(twice) and chose to receive the football to open the second half when you couldn't see the field.

Brady Hoke ran Michigan into the ground -- at one point they were giving away tickets if you bought two Cokes in the student union -- and sent a player out on the field after he had a concussion. That's why Tennessee is ignoring him, black Skip Bayless. The guy is a MAC level coach.
