The next LSU coach is going to need to hit the portal hard to solve immediate OL needs. Mel has shown he can do well reeling in transfers. That would be a huge benefit for lsu.

You don’t hire a coach for year 1 recruiting. We ALL know you love Tucker because you won’t shut up about it, but damn. He’s at least 2 years too early for this hiring process and nothing will change that.

He’s 14-12 as a college head coach. They’re 7-0 this year and haven’t beaten a single power 5 team with a winning record. They’re gonna finish like 9-3 or 8-4. They have Michigan, Purdue, Penn State, and Ohio State left to play the only 4 ranked teams on their schedule.

You are about as good at choosing a football coach as you are at choosing a politician.

Cuck.

Mel had a rough, rough first recruiting class, too. So what he did do? He pulled out all the stops in the transfer portal. Picked up castaways from places like auburn, wake forest, etc.

Nearly all of the major players on this msu team are transfer portalers.

This is, literally, an argument against him at LSU.

And I'm pretty neutral on Tucker, but THAT is bad news.

You just want him gone from MSU because Harbaugh and Michigan haven't done anything.

That's a terrifying endorsement for a guy who has only been a head coach for two and half years.

Tucker shouldn't even be on the radar for LSU. I feel like his name was leaked to the media just to stir up shite.

Aranda is 8-8 as a college coach

Wrong. He needs to beat Michigan and Ohio State.

Purdue and Maryland suck

Is this supposed to be a selling point? That he cannot recruit? Tucker would be a cataclysmic hire. He was a historic embarrassment as the Bears' DC. Literally one of the worst D coordinators in the franchise's history.

purdue has been solid all year, but they lost their qb.

mel doesn't have the horses to run with the other 3 teams, but i want them to be competitive. an upset of mich or pennst wouldn't suprise me.

He’s played the softest schedule in the country. At least Cincy has beaten ND. Tucker has never beaten anyone of note.

Will you feel the same about Tucker after Ohio State drops 50+ on him?

I'd like to see the season play out before I pass any judgment. If he can go 10-2 regular season he's probably a pretty solid coach.

Michigan State beat Indiana by 5.

Cincinnati beat Indiana by 14.

Fickell doing more with less.
