I mean the OM AD is letting him have it both ways because the potential outcome is a natty…

LSU is letting him have it both ways out of pure hope he’ll honor his word

Really Lane knows he is the best candidate for both positions Ole Miss and LSU. Anyone those teams hire will be a big step down. Both have to wait for him to decide if they want the best coach on the market.

Pretty sure Saban had Sark as an analyst and could afford to tell Lane to move on. Ole Miss doesn’t have a comparable replacement waiting in the wings.

What’s waiting cost LSU at this point? The feelings of some hot house flowers who can’t stand waiting? Can you wait forever? No? But there’s no reason not to wait if you feel like he’s your guy and you’ve got him on the line.

I’d be willing to bet that everyone already knows he’s going to LSU and the hold up is him trying to coach the rest of the season and OM not wanting to let him

Slightly different circumstances. Kiffin wasn’t the head coach leading the team into their 1st championship run.

Saban is Jimmy’s ho too. Sexton controls all these muppets.

Yeah that's why he fired him almost 3 weeks after it was announced.

Such the alpha!

You can’t come up with anything? Even just one possible reason why? I mean, that’s a pretty heavyweight institution with a presumably high degree of expertise and ability, certainly if you pool it all together - pretty impressive, they’ve got some particular reason or two why there’s a strong likelihood LSU stands to gain if LK were to be the coach. I guess they could just be sitting in a conference room together all just drooling though.

Agree.

At some point you have to question whether Lane is coming at all though. That’s the question.
