Just wanted to say hello. I am a Seminole fan. But, I come in peace. I recognize I am a guest here and will work very hard at acting like one.
For years I have followed the coaching carousel as sort of a hobby. Of course I get more interested when FSU coaches are involved.
I'll make another post going into a little more detail, but right now I'll just say this:
1. I think LSU has their guy already. I suspect it is either Herman or Jimbo. I'd put it at 60/40 in favor of being Herman.
2. You don't fire a coach at the LSU level without having his replacement in hand. Agents have talke to school officials and have hammered out "an agreement in principle." The AD and the new coach can honestly say, "I haven't spoken to anyone at LSU" or "I haven't spoken to any coach." It's all been done by intermediaries.
3. I read message boards and internet sources primarily for entertainment purposes. Anybody who says he knows what is going on is wrong. Those who know aren't talking, and those who are talking don't know.
Whether it is Jimbo or Herman or Lane Kiffin or Chip Kelly or whomever, LSU will get the guy they targeted. Y'all aren't going to have to "settle for a B list guy."

You can't say that on here. People lose their minds if you say this stuff. Lol
Anyway, welcome to the boards. I sure your one and two are accurate. If not LSU will be the laughing stock of the college football world for a bit. Of course, Joe Alleva is on the case so God only knows how this shite show will end.

Welcome to TD. You're certainly not the only Seminole fan here. 
I sincerely hope you're right about this. Until this is all over, I'm going to be unreasonably worried about it - it's what I do.

Some people work for, are are friends with, people in the know. So while the primary parties aren't posting on the internet, things that are shared over a beer can indeed be credible.

While he does worry me, I also believe that Alleva fully understands what this hire will mean to his legacy. Let's hope that is enough to steer us toward the right choice.

One can hope. I expect the worse, and hope for the best. That way, at least, if it all goes down the crapper it's not as upsetting. I guess cautiously optimistic is the best way to phrase how i feel about the ultimate outcome of this hire.

I'm not quite as old as Burt. He played at FSU in the 50s. I've only been a Nole fan since the 60s. (Steve Tensi, Fred Biletnikoff, Bill Peterson)
