This is true. And OM has the most to lose in that. Their roster will surely bail out in the portal and they'll have hs recruits de-commit. And they won't have time to re-group. Right at signing day. This makes me think Kiffin and OM are trolling, even though it will hurt them long term with credibility. If Kiffin is doing that, I hope he's truly happy at OM, because he won't get courted like this again. After all of these antics. This is the end game.

8. “While we discuss next steps, we know we cannot lose sight of what is most important…”

What next steps are there to discuss if he’s staying? Sign the extension and nothing changes. The only reason steps need to be discussed is to figure out interim and Lane’s exit.

9. “We want to ensure that our players and coaches can concentrate fully on next Friday’s game.”

He’s gone man. If Lane was staying they would announce it and there would be no need to give an announcement date so players and coaches could focus. As it stands now players and coaches are going to be bombarded with questions from everyone they encounter this coming week. they will be wondering themselves since as soon as they are told it will leak so they won’t be told until after the game most likely.

Don’t do this to yourself. Accept it and move on.

I went through all these thoughts and scenarios back in 2005 when Saban made THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF HIS CAREER and left LSU.

I even was joking the black coach (can't remember his name) who participated in the SHAM interview to satisfy the Rooney "rule", and wondered why a man would embarrass himself by making himself a pawn in the process so the Dolphins could hire Nick.

Deep down, I knew he was leaving. You know the same about Kiffin. You need to accept what's going on.

1. Ole Miss has the only AD that has publicly announced anything regarding Kiffin.

Are you asking if anyone thinks it's strange that no other Athletic Director has publicly mentioned a sitting coach under contract at another school? As your very first point?

Sexton DGAF. If you are trying to hire a college coach you either have to go through him or Trace Armstrong. I feel certain most AD’s already think he’s a huge POS, he just laughs while cashing checks

Yeah, he loves when some players on his team start talking shite to him online and at practice. It's so much fun.

Ole Miss knows he’s gone.

The problem for them is they want to go the playoffs (and Lane apparently wants to keep coaching until the Egg Bowl), so they are basically gritting their teeth allowing him to see it through.

Ole Miss is in a bad spot because they have no good options contractually to just tell him to GTFO.

I mean by dragging this out he could be prolonging and screwing up the process of LSU and Florida in recruiting and getting things done to hire their next coach …..

Totally agree someone getting play.. But what Lane don't understand he has eff with a fan base that had go thru Pete Boone , Houston Nutt and Hugh Freeze er of football.. We don't take to kindly too being eff with for lulz

Why does it have to be someone getting played? Are people not allowed to change jobs?
It’s just that because of the deadlines and windows involved that things have to be done in a shitty manner with regards to making the change.

Do you really think Kiffin signed or indicated he was signing the extension and the AD just didn’t mention it?

You’ve lost your golden boy Coach to a better school, cope how you must.

What is obviously strange to me is that Kiffin and the AD meet on Friday and the public comment is that Kiffin will tell ole miss what he wants to do 8 days later

If he was staging, Why didn’t Kiffin just tell the ole miss AD that he is staying

Possible reasons-
Kiffin doesnt feel any pressure to let LSU or Florida know anything
Kiffin is just wishy washy
Kiffin is waiting for a sign

Which is believable?
None

He’s leaving
