High school coaches are hired for analyst positions at literally every SEC school. Jeremy Pruitt got his start at Alabama as an analyst and he was just a high school assistant.

Was his family in deep with Saban family?

He's a prick for sure, everyone that I knew on Mandeville football clearly stated that but he has a good football mind for HIGH SCHOOL. Only reason he was even remotely thought of was because of O.

Lots of shite to be pissed about. This isn’t one of them.

There is no limit on how many analysts you can hire, and their pay is shite.

This has zero affect on anything.

Next let’s bitch about who the receptionist is.

I feel bad about starting this thread and wish the admins would whack it. I'm sure the guy is fine. It just seemed odd to me that this happened in conjunction w/ everything else, and, to be honest, it does smack of nepotism.

That’s an honorable thing to say. We all get caught up in the emotions of this stuff.

Cheers!

Maybe this year, but just like Jerry Sullivan, O might be elevating this guy to a big full time position next season.

O seems only willing to hire guys he can control, and what could be better than a guy who he knows as well as this one?

Yes, but he remained AD. His attorney in that lawsuit is an Orgeron family member named Chris Orgeron. Chris Orgeron also started a gofundme to get Matt Moscona fired for criticizing coach O

Don't let Billy Gomilla read this. He'll accuse you of melting over nothing.

It’s not that this cat is on the staff. It’s that it’s another backyard crawfish boil buddy. An Orgeron represented him in his lawsuit against the St. Tammany school board. He coached Ed’s kid. It’s just getting comical at this point.

I believe the term you seek is cronyism, since he is not a relative of Ed's.

Because Hoover was a powerhouse and Saban wanted particular recruits they had. Only recruit Mandeville had was that kicker who is already enrolled at Alabama.

Lecompte and his atty have been friend since the late 80s
Any correlation between these two events is completely incorrect

Let him go prove that shite at Tech, Monroe, Tulane, or ULL first, and then come here.

Again,

HE'S AN ANALYST.

The position is made for high school coaches and former players. High school coaches are literally one of the major pools they hire these positions for. At all schools. Not just LSU.

And his atty and Orgeron have been related since birth.

The problem with this hire is that it is rooted in the Good old boy network that is killing LSU football right now. If LSU wanted a new analyst they should be looking for people who can actually help the program, not rewarding Ed's sons football coach.
