I'd be happy with Tomlin but why bring race into it and call people racist that may not like the hire? People that don't like the hire may be the same race as Tomlin. Are they racist?

I just think if you don't like the potential of a Tomlin hire you are an idiot. Herm Edwards is having decent success at a much lesser school and is 20 years older and a fraction of the coach Tomlin is. Tomlin's whole makeup screams college head coaching beast.

I don’t know how to feel about Tomlin just from a recruiting standpoint, I am a black man that would love the best possible candidate that will balance recruitment with on the field development

Tomlin has coached college football before (position coach). I believe he would give recruiting his all and really excel at it. I don't think he's afraid of the challenge.
There is too much smoke for there not to be something there. My one connection to the program is convinced its Tomlin. He's ready to jump ship in Pittsburg before the shite implodes when Big Ben retires

I would be fine Tomlin. I love his age. His players love him and he is proven. It does scare me that he hasn't coached in college in 21 years, never coached in the south and we have no idea how he would recruit. Also, can't see any reason why he would go to college ranks.
But for Ryan Clark to say if you have any reservations or questions about Tomlin that you are just a racist is so on point for him. I think he is poision around LSU and does way more bad for University than good. That comment was just unnecessary and not true.
