If the A-listers like Jimbo and Herman say no, give it to Aranda

I have never thought I'd say that, but this guy is a fricking savant.

At worst, we'd always have an excellent defense. He's brilliant so I think he'd hire smart people around him. He's a solid recruiter from what we know.

I feel like if we let him go, he's going to dominate somewhere else and we'll never get him back.

LSU is NOT going to hire a coach with no head coaching experience! Aranda will not even merit an interview...

Neither should one of the worst head coaches in SEC history.

I completely agree!!! How many HC are defensive men?

Aren't most of them Offensive coordinators moved to HC jobs????

I don't care. I love Dave Aranda. Just an off subject question

off season priority number one is keeping Aranda. Whatever money it takes, whatever HC you have to hire. I don't care. He's insane

He's under contract beyond this season. If he wants to leave to take HC job, he will. Otherwise, there isn't anything that has to be done to keep him.

Aranda doesn't seem like a guy ready to be a HC. He's not much of a recruiter, not big on PR/sales stuff, and in general a tactician. He may want to be one, but he has more of the tendencies of becoming a NFL DC over a college HC to me.

Yes but Aranda is my #1 he beat Fisher and Stoops and several other superior teams last season with less talent

Houston is not that good but he'd be perfect with our talent especially on D. He also schemes well against guys like Aranda and Saban with similar talent.

If not Herman or Fisher you give it to Aranda over O cuz you still at least lock down one side of the ball regardless of coordinator

Saban always great defense
Urban always great offense

A non x and o mastermind like Miles or O will always be dependent on both hires on both sides! Just tired of lovable coaches with a ceiling.

LSU should win out this season on talent alone but it doesn't mean others wouldn't..

Dam you people if he wins out and the other big fish say no then coach O has earned it. Dude has won games with the same playbook Les miles had with an ancient OC. I agree Aranda has been a big part of that but just to give him the HC with no experience. Give aranda a huge raise but not the HC. The Big names will be hard to get if we cant get a big fish give it to coach O for a three year contract, keep the current recruiting class and hire another Aranda with an offensive mindset similar to his on defense. Yes coach O didnt do well at ole miss but can a man not learn from past mistakes. Im not sold on Aranda as a recruiter just yet. that is a big part of being a head coach at LSU.

Amazing how he earns the job for beating 3 and 4 loss teams for you

NEWSFLASH: WE ARE SUPPOSED TO WIN THOSE GAMES.

He's coach the exact same as Miles would in the past couple games, difference is he has Saban Jr at defensive coordinator

quote:

Can a man not learn from past mistakes

Can a man not prove that he's learned from those mistakes at a smaller program before we test him out at a top 10 fricking job in the country

You people are insane
