I seriously doubt that. I doubt he would want to go to a place where a legendary coach with a hell of a legacy just retired. He could leave his own mark somewhere else

NO - he will win at LSU, have fun doing it and hopefully, the few old guys alive will be able to see a modern-day Spurrier or Saban mature over the next 15 - 20 years.

Most coaches are only good for 4-5 years anyway.

It’d surely be nice to be on the other side of that coin.

This is what I believe too. There is no way he stays the length of whatever contract he gets, and he could very well disappoint in the same way Kelley did, in which case we will have wasted an obscene and wildly excessive dollar amount or he leaves for greener pastures with in 2-3 years. Either way he is not going to bring any kind of stability or any kind of sustained success at LSU in my opinion.

The only thing up from LSU is the NFL and I'm 100% positive he has no thoughts of returning there.

He'll stay at LSU 10-15 years, win 3-4 national championships, then retire.

So. Could you blame him for making his own decisions?

You're right.

We should hire Mack Brown. He's a loyal mofo.

As long as he brings a championship or 2 in that time frame, it’s a good deal.

So hire somebody not as good because Kiffin may leave in 5 years?

Think about how stupid your thought is.

Even if he didn’t win a title in five years, as long as we were competitive, made the playoffs and didn’t end up in some huge scandal, I’d wish him well on his next adventure. Five years is plenty

As soon as bama opens up he's gone from wherever he is. Deboar is has maybe three more years before being fired or pushed out.

I thought this initially, but not so sure now. He didn't have the best exit from Bama. Also, if he's that in demand then he's having success. If he's having that kind of success at LSU then I don't see why he'd leave. However, if he leaves on his own then that means LSU is doing really well and that's perfectly fine.

I like Kiffin but not sure he’s worth the hassle or the money. We’ll need to afford better players

Anyone remember when that’s who Saban was? Until it wasn’t.
