I think it’s the other way around

If he comes here, we become their biggest rival

No they haven’t. We are THEIR biggest rival but not ours. Ours is #1Bama #2 UF #3 Auburn. In the last 30ish years.

I don’t think that would cause an escalation in the rivalry.
The will always have Mississippi State.

I may be old school but I consider our natural rivalry to be Tulane even though we hardly see them anymore.

I was born in ‘67. My first words were Go to Hell Ole Miss. They are and will remain our most hated rival.

Already are. They hate losing to state because they feel state is beneath them but they actually hate LSU. Beating lsu means way more to them than beating anyone else

Only since Saban got to Bama and you had the combination of them taking our former coach and having about a 7-8 year span where LSU-Bama game decided the SEC West. Growing up as a fan in the 90’s, Bama was just another divisional rival but nothing more

Living in MS and being married to an ole miss fan, I’ve always considered them LSU’s biggest rival.

They’ve historically been our main rival but in recent years it’s dropped off

Old school guy here.

Ole Miss has always been our main rivalry. It makes me ill to lose to them.

I hope LSU gets Kiffin just to piss them off.

Oh you mean like BAMA fans think of LSU?

There’s really no saga on the LSU side. We’re shooting our shot at Ole Miss’s girl and she’s flirting back while they’re over there begging her to stay saying they’ll change.

It’s like the fake Arkansas rivalry, they take it much more serious than we do.

Yeah y’all have only rushed the field the last 2 times y’all beat us in Death Valley and 4 times over the last 10 years.

Meanwhile we didn’t rush the field this year.

It was also y’all’s ASB that reached out to us with the idea of naming the rivalry and coming up with a trophy.

But y’all don’t take it more serious than we do.

Tigah fans definitely hate Mississippi more than Arkansas, not sure why that poster is making that comparison

If Lane does come here, the rivalry goes to another level for sure. If he stays at OM, I don’t really see a change other than an ultra competitive game like it’s been for the past few years.

100%

It would be like Saban being at Alabama and how that ramped that rivalry up to 100

The comparison was the level of hate on both sides. Ole Miss as a whole hates LSU more than we hate y’all. We don’t look at the schedule and circle the Ole Miss game. Maybe that changes as y’all sustain success.

Rushing the field means nothing at LSU. If we beat any ranked team the students want to rush the field. It’s kind of embarrassing tbh.

The much older fans will always say Ole Miss. But the fact of the matter is LSU has really never had a true No. 1 rival. In the early 2000's it was between Auburn and Florida. Later 2000's to 2010's was more Bama and A&M.
