I'm honestly about done with LSU at this point until I see them shitcan O, Alleva and Alexander. I don't go to the games anymore. What I mean by done is I'm just going to stop caring. The politics are destroying LSU and while other teams around us continue to get better we crumble because of this good ole boys network that keeps being run within the program.

Briles would be a great hire, IMO but if what the poster above said is true then how the hell is that relationship even going to work with O? Lol at him seriously considering Ensminger as his OC. He wants to get fired apparently. I truly believe everything said there. At this point, I'd take Ensminger if it forces an exit for Alleva and O faster.

I'll endure 1-2 more years of pain if it meant cleaning house in the program. At this point, that's far more attractive than waiting 5+ years of seeing you slowly becoming the doormat of the SEC and requiring probably a decade to recover. We might already be in that spiral at this point. The most important hire for the program was when Miles got fired and Alleva fricked the hire up. We might already be in the position it takes a decade to recover.

If true Alleva should step in and stop O fricking up this hire. Ed wanted Canada it backfired so he shouldn’t be able to frick it up again.

I wouldn't want Briles, because he's gone next season to take over at FAU, when Lane leaves.

I pray to have an OC that someone else wants to hire. Please baby Jesus let someone see value in our OC.

No shite. It sure would be nice to have someone where you have many programs knocking your door down trying to steal your coach rather than have an Ensminger that nobody wants and somehow keeps getting extremely important jobs. Guy basically bounced around until he got to LSU then all of a sudden he becomes interim OC, survived a regime change and is in serious considerations to be an OC. Nobody pursues Ensminger either and all I hear is how useful he is to the staff. That's great, except he's not what LSU needs at OC. If O can't see that then he never will.

He's not helping his stereotype of being a shrimp boat captain leading this team forward. Being honest, all I see with O is Les Miles in the back end of his career only it's going to be worse with O. Got to keep his buddies like Peveto moving up the food chain despite nobody really seeing what value he brought to the staff.

I think we're going to have a REALLY ugly season next year. TD might explode.

I know, I know... "Alleva is a moron, idiot, yadda yadda, rabble rabble rabble." And I agree fully. But as of last night it seems Alleva may be our saving grace on this abortion of an OC saga. Alleva also deserves some credit for getting LSU to take action to sweeten the pot for Aranda to beat a7m back off our door step. I don't like the guy but he's doing some things right at this time, it would seem.

This is absolutely correct, and I am loathe to give Alleva any credit for anything.

O is becoming the impulsive narcissists who failed horrifically at Ole Miss.

He seems hell bent on crashing that airboat in spectacular fashion.

If memory serves me, Briles offense tends to put a lot of pressure on their own defense due to the pace it is run.

Is there any reason he couldn't call his offense, but not go hurry up? Like is hurry up a necessary component for that style of offense to work?

You obviously just want to argue and throw out single point rankings and not look at its entirety surrounding his style of offense or the Big 12. I did fact check and look at trends, but believe what you want while you stroke your willie.

The only thing that worries me about Briles is that he hasn't been the #1 offensive mind anywhere. Whoever comes to LSU is going to have to be that person. The same could have been said about Kyle Shanahan during his years in Washington & he turned out okay. Seems a bit risky but might be worth it.

What about TigerAxeOK? I was summarizing the information from the thread that The Hurricane started last night. A thread that tigerbaitlawyer chimed in on and subtly confirmed that he was hearing nearly the same information.

So damn me for trying to condense the long version into key points. Let me elaborate:

Here's the 20 page thread, if you wish to see for yourself.

There’s no way your dad is Art Briles, coached under him, coached under Kiffin, and have no idea about offensive football.

I’m sure he’s plenty capable enough to be the man.

No doubt the offense is HIS offense at this point. The problem is he's never coached for a HC that wasn't an offensive mind first and foremost.

Not saying Kendal can't be successful under O (or any other HC with a defensive background), but he's never been handcuffed before and we aren't sure if it will turn into a toxic situation again when it inevitably happens.

This is a recipe for disaster. This is no different than O over ruling Canada.

There is a structure in business, administration, and organizations. If They are not aligned with the same vision it's usually disaster. When your A.D. is having to tell the h.c. who to hire, what kind of offense to run, etc. then there is a MAJOR PROBLEM.

At this point, it's just inevitable. Just like Canada, if they aren't meshing, might as well cut bait. At this point, it's been a charade for 3 years. It's time to clean house and rebuild a championship administration and coaching staff.

This isn't on O. He sold himself for the Job. J.A. bought it and was fooled. We don't need fools running our athletic department.

yep.....O cruited Alleva hard and sold him a bill of shite. Can't blame O for making the play, the adults in the room making the decisions should be wiser when a snake oil salesman knocks on their door. Joe can't control his Frankenstein like he hoped.

You think alleva is going to sit by idly while o gets them both fired? Alleva will be all up in Os Kool aid until the end doing everything in his power to keep his job.

in what world is Kiffin as HC even remotely close to saban as HC?

i mean he’s been fired mid-season at 2/3 of his previous jobs.
