If it's Kiffin, do you believe he will win an NC at LSU within three years? Within five?

Let me preface this by admitting that I'm still deeply skeptical that Kiffin will be our next coach, but let's set that aside for now and indulge in hypotheticals.

If Kiffin is hired, do you think he will win an NC at LSU? If so, how long do you think it will take?

On the one hand, he is obviously a gifted offensive coach, and he seems to have the right persona to connect with players in the free-wheeling modern era of pay-for-play CFB.

On the other hand, his defenses have continued to be suspect, his play calling and in-game tactics are often high risk, and he hasn't demonstrated the greatest maturity or leadership skills throughout his career.

What say you?

I think by year 3, possibly 2. He’s the hype coach at the moment and would be able to put together a team quickly.

I’ll be pumped to see competitive playoff runs at this point.

A NC in 5 years would be icing on the cake.

Yes. If a short little old fart that never came to work went 34-14 and went to an SEC champ game, a guy that works his arse off and wants a title will get one at LSU.

interested to see who he brings in as DC, S

Ruffino seems to think Coach Pete aint coming home. does he retain Baker?

imagine Golding, Frank, Coach O, Corey, Pettito, Sherm, along with Austin Thomas running the show... a recruiting powerhouse

Only if he hires Ogre as a translator. He's awfully white and won't be able to talk to players from south of I-20 much less I-10. Even if it's only about the NIL money nowadays, they still need to be able to understand Johnny Swampwater.
