and Michigan offers me the job, I'm leaving. Hell I might even have my agent call them and let them know I'd be interested. Not even because of the alma mater part. Miles would be embraced at Michigan from the start and would likely bring them back from the pile of crap they are now and would be an icon. Les Miles is 61-17 at LSU with a national championship,4-1 record in bowl games. His worst season was 8 win and LSU fans are ready to run him out of town if he sneezes on the sidelines.

LSU fans would love to have Urban Meyer. Meyer went 9-3 in 05, 9-4 in 07 and 8-5 this season. I suppose LSU fans would have been ready to run him off too.

Spare me the non sense that he took Florida to 4 BCS bowls and Miles has been to only two. How many more SEC title games and BCS bowls do you think Miles would have taken LSU to if we played in the SEC east against Kentucky, South Carolina, UT and Vandy every season? UT has been down for a few years, SC is generally mediocre and UK and Vandy flat out suck.

I think Miles is a good coach. Hes recruited well, won a title, kept the school out of trouble with the NCAA. I for one hope he doesn't leave because he feels unwanted and LSU ends up with a Lloyd Carr type situation. /rant.

Have a great day.

glad to see theres still some rational folks on the board. No matter how successful he is, theres still going to be idiots that want to run him off because he talks funny.

What will be ironic is if he leaves, and LSU screws the pooch with a hire, then you will see how fast they start crying for Miles. This is not a good time to be looking for a coach.

or if our next coach has us in the Cap One bowl and Miles comes to New Orleans in a BCS game with Michigan. That would be classic.

I agree. you forgot to add that uga has fallen off the past 3 seasons. And that he had one of the best college football players ever in Tebow.

Oh and its not like fsu and miami were world beaters either when they won their 2 bcs titles.

This would be the worst decision he has ever made if he leaves right now. He has LSU stacked right now and ready to make a run at another National Championship. If he does it will cement his legend as one of the greatest coaches in CFB history.

He would be going to a horrible conference that just go embarrassed on New Years day and recruits see that just as much as we do.

Les should stay and graze on more Tiger Stadium grass.

no not Les Miles. We're going to go 3-9 next season. Book it. If we amazingly manage to win 10 games, it was nothing but luck in spite of Les Miles. Thats the truth.

If I'm Les I don't care how much the LSU fanbase hates me if Michigan doesn't give me close to what LSU is paying.

Love, hate, loyalty mean nothing. Money is still king
