sumlin just seems like a 2nd tier hire to me

is OU really on that level in terms of prestige now?

the people "close" to the ou program here haven't said anything about sumlin. several guy's on the radio who have played for ou are saying they doubt bob leaves, but if he did those three guy's would be on the list.

I imagine if you polled all Sooner fans they would take Sumlin over Mike Stoops all day long.

Is he any less of a name hire than Stoops was at the time? Stoops was DC under Spurrier at Fla (equivalent of them hiring Charlie Strong today). I think the Sumlin hire has more sizzle.
