i agree with some of that. the boosters that i know are not high on venables. they have been wanting him gone for a few years. ou has a very good defense this year, and he can recruit but i don't see him being a canidate based on what i've been told. i'm not sure stoops leaves though.

I have to think OU is a better job than ND. I know ND has the NBC contract, but who watches anymore? ND has to recruit nationally, OU has Texas as a fertile ground and questionable recruits at OU? No problem.
ND is a death trap. It isn't and probably will never be what it was. Hasn't been for two decades. OU has solid talent in place, rabid fanbase and the chance to succeed next year.

With some of the OU boosters that I know, Venables is either you love him or hate him. From what I understand personally he is likeable and comes across as knowledgeable. Stoops has the tendency to be condescending and from what I gather his wife is insufferable. She is some huge bigwig with MaryKay and tries to recruit every person she meets into the MaryKay pyramid, if they gave an award to most disliked Big12 head coach wife she would win hands down.

go check the recruiting rankings lately. nd has been outstanding recruiters, weis just didnt get good defensive talent in there

I know one guy who has a lot of experience in that part of the world, even a couple of victories vs OU on his belt.

Notre Dame isn't what it was. Hasn't been for 20 years. Odds of it repeating are slim. OU is the better program right now.
